
Consider, for example, a sorcerer soloing a BAM and how much effort they have to spend evading, positioning, and timing skills with long cast times, all those things reduce their effectiveness. I think one of the reasons why people thought Mystics were weak is because their DPS output is low on paper but when you factor in time spend positioning, evading, blocking, whatever, I find Mystics against "real" opponents can be remarkably effective. Well, I mentioned "effective" DPS rather than actual. In terms of priest dps vs mystic dps on a stationary target, mystic wins solo. The ONE big change I'd love to see for Mystics is thralls that scale with gear. I think that's part of the reasons why Mystic Thrall's got such a big jump in FoA1.

Before FoA, each patch added increasingly better gear that buffed other classes but because gear doesn't alter Thralls it meant that Mystics were gradually being left behind. That's the thing that annoys/upsets me most about Mystic.
